GTP_Bambi Dominates Motegi!

The first round of the VRR Super GT Series second season happened today, with a decent grid running from sunset to night. GTP_Bambi, driving in GT500 for the Lexus manufacturer took pole position and turned it into a wire-to-wire victory, the second time he has done so, following season 1 in Sapporo. His teammate trobes29 held on to second after a brief opening battle with BRRT_Angel, who would finish fourth from starting fourth. iWinYouLooz had the second fastest qualifying time, but due to a pit lane start penalty from the Rolex Exhibition, started behind the GT300 cars and still worked his way to third in class, with nascarfan1400 rounding out the GT500 field in 5th.

GT300 saw a similar story, with kross_24 leading wire-to-wire to win the slower class ahead of G_Parrilla. The Argentine took a comfortable second over GTP_amarynceus, who was a lap clear of GTP_GT916 and Street-King-07. After a week break, the Super GT Series will get back in action at Mid-Field Raceway for the Canadian 250km on August 1st.
