Frequently Asked Questions

With Virtual Reality Racing being...well, virtual, a lot of people have the ability to race endurance races from the comfort of their homes. To filter out the essential information, I've compiled a short list of questions I've been asked a lot over the past 5 months. If these do not answer any questions you may have, feel free to send them my way via GTPlanet.

01

What does VRR do?

For the time being, Virtual Reality Racing is focused on bringing the best possible Super GT experience to the masses of players on Gran Turismo on PlayStation Network. At the moment, that is our only long term project due to how many other series bid in to our time slot.

02

I want to join. How do I get in?

All driver registration takes place on our GTPlanet forum (red button at the bottom of the page). After interested drivers have read the rules for the series, they post their registration on the thread for it to be approved by me. Each new driver starts out with a Silver racing licence, which allows them a first shot at GT500 until my review skills think they need bumped to GT300.

03

How often do you guys race?

The VRR Super GT Series races in 3 month seasons usually separated by a month of "vacation". VRR might have novelty events, events that are not attached to anything, but that is a rare occurence. VRR usually organizes it's events to take place on Saturday afternoons.

04

Do you allow beginners in?

Absolutely. We are open to letting new drivers start out in GT300 to get a feel for the race cars and the aspects of multi racing while still managing the series like a professional real life series. We accept all types of skill levels from beginners to seasoned veterans.

05

Are you guys on YouTube?

Until recently, we weren't. However, since late April, nascarfan1400 and trobes29 (links below) have started recording our events under their own perspective. We're currently working on putting together an actual broadcast for the upcoming season.
