Upcoming VRR Events

The end of May and the beginning of June will see VRR holding three events. Coming up this Saturday is a bit of a fun, intriguing test. VRR meets the RACE Fun Runs with a VRR Super GT exhibition at Twin Ring Motegi. Fun Runs, a weekend string of events, has been a stable for relaxed, spontaneous racing on Gran Turismo 6 for a few months now, and with several VRR drivers originating from Fun Runs, the idea was set in play. Currently, Fun Runs has the numbers advantage in the drivers, but VRR, which carries the home field advatage, also has some of the faster drivers of the field. May 23rd is the date this showdown will take place, and it should be one to watch for.

The following weekend, June 6th, will be the first VRR attempt an actual endurance event, the 2 Hours of Motegi. This event will be an exhibition for the upcoming VRR Asian Le Mans Series. LMP2, GT500, and GT300 will all be present for the event.

The final event until after July 4th weekend will be the Motegi 300 on June 13th. Initially planned as my final race of the year, I realized that racing was too tempting and just made this event a one off. This race hopefully picks up momentum and happens.
