The Morning After The Night Before

The VRR Super GT had it's season finale in an eerily fitting manner. Things went right, then things went wrong, then it got worse, then it got better. In a race that saw 10 take the green flag, only 6 took the finish. Technical problems all around saw the race reach a dead hault at the halfway point for a restart. The technical problems, stemming from out of operation servers, caused three drivers to disconnect within 30 minutes of each other, and those problems continued even after the restart. But it didn't start there. In qualifying, multiple drivers couldn't set times due collisions with other drivers. This saw BRRT_Angel take her first pole position of the season in GT500 Class, with JACKOLANTERN31 echoing that in GT300. Despite the poor qualifying display, the racing itself was alright. It was closer than expected and it looked like an actual fight was brewing. Until the championship leaders BRRT_Angel and trobes29 disconnected within 5 minutes of each other. The field was stopped and reassembled for a restart. Despite these efforts, trobes29, JACKOLANTERN31, Dcrimnal, and Wium43 would not take the restart. The last 40 minutes saw a cat and mouse race in GT500 with NearFear hunting down BRRT_Angel who had capitalized on mistakes and made a minute gap. GTP_Bambi cruised to his fourth win of the season and third in GT300 to take the GT300 title, while BRRT_Angel would win her second race of the season to take home GT500 and the Outright Drivers Championship. For both, these titles would be their first championships.
